Kevin and Cynthia Heselbach recently joined the team of Goodfellow Real Estate Services. They bring over 7 years of combined experience in real estate. While enjoying the opportunity to live in the area they have a lifetime of knowledge about Deep Creek Lake and the surrounding area of Garrett County.
Kevin is originally from Baltimore, Md. He spent most of his childhood growing up at his parent’s vacation home in Sky Valley on Deep Creek Lake. After graduation he became a permanent resident to the area and started his own family. He raised two sons and spent 12 years coaching soccer, baseball and skiing in the community. His family has been much involved in all the outdoor recreational opportunities that are rich in this area. Skiing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, and boating are still among their favorite pastime activities. For 27 years Kevin has worked in specialty retail as general manager of Rudy’s at Wisp Resort. In addition to Rudy’s, Kevin has worked over 16 years as a chef at some the best known restaurants in Baltimore and the local area. Real Estate is his third and final career which he is looking forward to all the new challenges it offers.
Cynthia is originally from Meyersdale, PA., a small town just north of Grantsville. She spent time at Deep Creek Lake with family and friends during her childhood and teen years. She graduated from dental hygiene school and journeyed to the Frederick and Montgomery County area where she worked in dentistry for over 13 years. In 2000 Cynthia accepted a new challenge when she was offered an opportunity to move to Garrett County and assume the role as the Garrett County Health Department’s Dental Hygienist. She was part of a coordinating team that established the new dental clinic. This allowed her to be close to her family and to live in a place that she adored as child. She met Kevin in 2001 and they were married in 2002. They now reside at Deep Creek Lake with their Chocolate Lab known as Bailey.
While enjoying the outdoors, Kevin and Cynthia love to travel. Exploring the many islands of the Caribbean is a favorite and they hope to visit Europe again in the near future as well. They are known to go anywhere from Pittsburgh to Baltimore to Las Vegas to take in the fine arts and have a great appreciation for gourmet food, wine and spending time with family and friends. They are always open to try new adventures and meet new people.
