Cindy Sanders began her real estate career in 1988 at A&A Realty/Better Homes & Gardens with Karen Myers, broker. When Karen sold A&A Realty to Long & Foster Realtors, Cindy continued her real estate career there until the closing of the Oakland office in July of 2008. At this time she opted for a locally owned and operated agency Goodfellow Real Estate Services, and found the perfect blend of experience, professionalism and genuine concern for people and the community.
Cindy and her husband John live on Fingerboard Road on what has been part of her husband’s family farm for over 100 years now. John is an engineer and president of Highland Engineering & Surveying. A locally owned firm located on Memorial Drive in Oakland. They have 3 grown children, Jennifer, a counselor with the Garrett Co. Health Dept. married to Mike Brenneman of Brenneman Well Drilling, Inc. Jennifer & Mike have two beautiful children, Leah & Luke that Cindy & John enjoy to no end. Scott Sanders, a graduate of Frostburg State University and Nikki Evans a graduate of CSU.
In 1993 Cindy tried to leave Garrett County for an excellent job in Michigan, but missed the wonderful people and gorgeous mountains and had to return. She continues to be very happy about that decision.
Having raised three children in Garrett County Cindy knows what a wonderful place it is to live, work and play. She & John enjoy antiquing, gardening, traveling and riding their 4-wheeler around the farm where they have observed turkey, deer and several bear.
